As a child one is taught, study well, get good grades, it will define your future. And when you have 'The Dream Job', society will recognize you, and then you shall be in the list, among the progressive women in our society.
We believe in it and move ahead - passion becomes dream, and once we achieve that dream we make it our way of life, and consider our-self to be among the progressive ones.
Then in life a moment of realization breaks in and we come in face-off with the reality, that we have actually become stagnant in most ways while going through the whole process of being one among the progressive. We forgot that dream can never be passion, there is a thin lining between the two.
As we move ahead in the journey, we come to realize who a progressive woman is :
A girl, or rather a toddler who started cooking with leaves and mud, to someone who bakes her first cake.
A girl who was introduced to the world of dance and art by her parents, which became the most important and fulfilling activities of her life.
A girl who was introduced to the world of imagination and creation through amazing tales, which made her understand the meaning of falling down and getting up, meaning of hope, happiness and how important was failure and someone who was open to the wildest of experiences in life, who knew how to cherish the smallest of achievements, to becoming a wise woman in the journey.
When this girl lets her passions and beliefs live within her and that is what defines her,
When she achieves her dreams, but knows that those dreams are just a part of life, and so she lives it accordingly,
When the glow within her reflects through her eyes and her loved ones...
That is when she is actually progressing.
Money can buy you ticket to your favorite destinations, but it does not make you a progressive woman.
I recently realized all of this.... let's promise to redefine the whole concept of a PROGRESSIVE WOMAN !!
Let's run our own individual race, herds are suffocating.

A heart touching and emotional defination of progressive woman. Googled it after reading the post and found out the defination is not the same. But, it didn't take me much time to realise sometimes life gives us new defination which exists only in our dictionary.

I always feel don't run the race alone get all those who need your support along the way to join you and be constructive to make an impact and a difference so that you are remembered and revered as an icon of hope and a role model. Be the unique individual who fought her battles in her style on the chosen grounds of others.

Nice account of evolution of thoughts of a child to adulthood to progressive woman. Dreams shaping up in to actions, turning to firm beliefs and striving hard to achieve these.May be progessiveness is an on going process.
